Keep, Alsinus

son of Marsena Keep and Polly Hewitt

born   22 July 1838

Union, enlisted as Corp., 111th Pennsylvania Regiment Vol., died Sept. 17, 1862, while carrying the regimental colors at the Battle of Antietam and was buried in the National Cemetery there.  ***See  his story on the Personal Experiences Pages.

Keep, Bradford Ellery 

son of Matthew Keep and Orilla Hewitt

born  27 Sep 1830

 Union, enlisted as Private Jan 5, 1864, Co. C., Pvt, 111th Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry Volunteers.  Discharged on surgeon's certificate Jan. 7, 1865.

Keep, John Oliver

son of Marsena Keep and Polly Hewitt

born  9 Aug 1840

Union, enlisted as Pvt June 13, 1861, Co. H, 20th Regiment Infantry, Illinois Volunteers. Wounded in battle.  Discharged Jul 23, 1862 because of wounds.

 Keep, Reuben Farley

son of Marsena Keep and Polly Hewitt

born  16 Aug 1835

Union, enlisted as Pvt. Oct. 22, 1861, Co. H, 20th Regiment, Illinois Infantry Volunteers.  Wounded in battle.  Discharged July 23, 1862.

Its a shame, all of their sons went.  But from what I can tell, none died in battle, I will keep searching.
