Thats it, I am done, I am going back to bed and getting up some time next week.
Is this fair? nope, I have two dogs and a cat that will hound me til I make sure everything is all good (for them) after that, I could fall off the face of the earth, and they wouldn't care, as long as I came back and fed them again, lol.
Let me give you a description of today, I couldnt fall asleep til nearly 4am, I blame James, he kept me up talking about writing, our stories/books we are working on, and other mundane things. Of course we both got off the computer about 2am, but then I could'nt fall asleep.
Then I woke up at 7, and it was almost a repeat of yesterday morning, heartburn, and my back itching so bad, I couldn't find a comfortable position, so I got up walked around for awhile, went to the bathroom, etc. Went back to bed, and I think I died, because I did not wake up or move or anything til 11:30.
This is not all that unusual for me, as the woman I live with, she pretty much does the same thing, sits up half the night either online or watching tv, or reading books, and then sleeps half the day away.
So I get up, play online for a few minutes, get my thoughts together, and then went to the bank to check the balance (as paychecks and other money that comes in is supposed to be there). Yay money, so I go to the store, here was my trip:
It started out pretty good, got meat for the week, a ham for our ham dinner on Sunday, some chicken for chicken and dumplings tonight, and hamburger for meatloaf tomorrow (all the rest of the meat well, I have to figure out a menu for the rest of the week).
I go to grab a bag of potatoes, and there was a hole in the bag, and the danged bag dumped everywhere! Then I went to the deli and got some chicken dinners for lunch, and they had fried corn (which reminds me, today is Fritter Day!) that is simply creamed corn fried in batter, yum! Picked that bag up, and guess I picked it up wrong, and it dumped everywhere. Then I got a 12 pack of Diet Coke, because each time Oak comes home from the road he complains there is no Diet Coke for him. I put it in the cart, and it wasn't level, and so when I went over a bump, down it crashed. I finally get to the cash register, and start emptying the cart, and I had forgotten the debit card in the car, so ran out to the car for it. While I am at the car, I had honey mustard packets in my pocket for the chicken dinners, and dang it, when I leaned over, they busted.
So I get back in the store, and they have changed the debit/credit machine, so I have to figure out the right buttons for that, I pick up my keys, and at the same time I try to put the card back in my purse, and I guess I bumped things the wrong way, my keys went flying one way, and my purse went flying another. Are you KIDDING ME? I am done, I am going back to bed!
The day has gotten better tho, I still haven't made up a menu for the week, but I will get to that, and we are working on finishing up things for the upcoming trip, I just can't wait!
This Day in History
John Brown hanged for raid on Harpers Ferry, December 2, 1859. Brown was a radical US abolitionist who advocated armed action to end slavery and his supporters murdered five proslavery settlers in Kansas in 1856. Three years later he tried to start an armed liberation movement among slaves by seizing the federal arsenal at Harper's Ferry, WV. This was to arm local slaves with its weapons. His small force was soon overpowered, and Brown was tried for treason, convicted and hung.
Nikos Kazantzakis was born on December 2, 1885
