Bennett, corrected!

Okay, today at the library on library loan, I got a book called Revolutionary War Records of Fairfield, Ct. By Donald Lines Jacobus, and my heart sank. I was so sure that I had been given the correct Bennett line, that I thought I was following it, I wasnt!
So, Samuel Bennett who suffered so on the Grovnor Prison ship during the Rev War, is NOT my 6th great grandfather.
I know for a fact that Joseph I Bennett IS my 5th great grandfather, now just to search for who his father is, and from there!
