My thoughts on Eilert, in the 1880 census, there is a young boy living witht he family named John Folkes, born the same year. And Mary is now single, I am wondering if John is actually Eilert, under another name, (and it says orphan after his name) so as to seem more *proper*. But I still cant figure out where in the world Jann/Henry is. I mean if he died and left Mary, that would make her a widow, with a young son, no big deal! But she is back to being single! It makes no sense at all.
